I went on a painting trip, into the great out of doors. I had my back pack, my Easel, paint supplies and my bike. I rode around Salt Spring Island, B.C. for 7 days. With my Easel and backpack strapped to my back. I painted rain or shine. I did approximately 2 paintings a day, one day 3. I wanted to share some of my favorites.
Unfortunately, the quality of these are horrible compared to the live painting. The color on the computer is a lot more desaturated and extreme low quality. These will have to do for now, until I can get them professionally photographed.
These are 11 x 14 inches, they are all Acrylic on Masonite panels.
I will upload more in the next couple of days, plus some journal entries of my trip.
The 1st was done on a mountain side, looking at a view down towards the ocean. It started to rain, it was sunny, misty and a rainbow appeared, eagles soared above my head and in the distance. It was beautiful.
The 2nd one was done at 10 am in the morning, at the side of the road near a farm. There was deer running and grazing in the field.
The 3rd was done a top the ocean side, standing in the open out in the poring rain, with no cover...it started raining after about 5 minutes of starting...
